Floraverse Species Sardaven by WanderingRider Floraverse Species Sardaven by WanderingRider

Sardaven are an open race! Feel free to make a character based on this species if you'd like! oUo

Most Common Elements:

A majority Sardaven are usually seen with Poison and Water affinities. There are however uncommon cases where in they have affinities to Spirit and Earth, with Air being the least common.

Hereditary Magic:

Their abilities are usually passed down from their parents, if not amplified. They can adapt into a new affinity if they are exposed to it long enough, but most Sardaven bodies cannot handle the stress of adapting well.

Elemental weaknesses/resistances:

Extremities of all elements they are not affiliated with could prove life threatening, especially of Fire and Ice affinities. Sardaven have a powerful immunity to other poison affinities. Their venom is used in a lot of antidote potions.

Common locations:

Sardaven usually make their homes in caves or in the forest and jungles, preferably  near bodies of water, but their need for social and intellectual dabble has brought many a serpent to the great Mew City.

Climate preference:

Sardaven can be found in most tropical climate regions. Rarely does one venture into the colder places unless their elemental affiliations allow them to adapt to such conditions.

Sardaven are sentient and highly intellectual beings. Though there have been cases where their methods have been more than questionable.

Common. Sardaven can communicate with other serpents in their languages as well.

Watch the wings in action! ->…

Sardaven can breed with most reptilian species, as well as some avian varieties. Their eggs are various oval shapes and shades of pale yellow. They keep the eggs underground until the babies emerge. Stunted, the babies rapidly grow out as the mature and are able to use their rib appendages when they reach adolescence.

The Sardaven’s most prominent features, despite varying in size and appearances, are their rib appendages and brow horns. Their ribcages are detached from their collar bone and are instead connected to another pair of limbs that are under the skin. Most use their rib appendages for intimidation or to impress a potential partner. If caught in a fight, using their rib wings leaves all of their vitals exposed and would most likely be the Sardaven’s downfall. In most cases the ribs are too small to be properly used for mobility. There are a few, very uncommon Sardaven that have high affinities with air and water that can use their rib wings appropriately.

- The Sardaven with the feathers, the feathers don't follow the rib wings when they fold. They're kind of like a cape and just draping there on their back ouo

I'm thinking of making a Spirit one and I'd like to ask if there is some predominant type of coloration or wings in the affiliation or it is open to speculation.
